Suspicious purchase offer in the name of a purported ‘investment group’

Zurich, September 2026. We would like to warn holders of Aimondo shares or participation certificates about attempts to make contact that are currently circulating and are in no way connected with Aimondo AG.

What this is about: Some shareholders have already been contacted by telephone by alleged “investment groups” from the UK or the US.

The offer: A “strategic buyer” (a hedge fund, i.e. a highly speculative investment fund) is said to wish to acquire your Aimondo shares, in order to secure a majority stake of at least 51 per cent, at a price of €16–20 – but only after you have first purchased additional shares (allegedly from a trust portfolio).

Our review of an offer forwarded to us: (An investor has provided us with one of these letters.) During our investigation into the organisation named therein, we discovered the following on 2 September 2026:

  • The website of the organisation that contacted us contains unaltered text from another, genuinely existing trustee company – an indication of copied content. The sentence in question is identical to one on the website of Qubic Trustees Limited – evidence that the organisation in question has copied third-party content.
  • The organisation making the offer (Maes Jacobs Trustee Services | Head Office: 25 Old Broad Street | London EC2N 1HQ) cannot be found in the UK Companies Register (Companies House) under the name used.
  • We were unable to find any authorisation from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or a comparable authority.
  • The business address provided has been verified as belonging to a different, uninvolved law firm.

Our recommendation:

  • Do not transfer any money and do not hand over any documents or powers of attorney.
  • Hang up if you receive a call and do not respond to any related emails.
  • If you have already responded or passed on any details, contact a solicitor as soon as possible and, if necessary, Action Fraud UK (actionfraud.police.uk) or your local police station.

Aimondo AG has neither initiated nor endorsed any sales campaign of this kind.

Following the now completed management buy-out, the MBO team at Ainstynity Ltd. is the sole source of information regarding the current status of the stock exchange registration and the planned listing of the new structure.
